JUNE 2025 NEWSLETTER

Dear Members

A huge thank you to all those who join us throughout the year, we are striving to keep all sessions available to you but we do need your regular support to make this happen. We are local, offer high quality services with good facilities and many classes are cheaper than a pint of beer!

Quick reminder, we are closed next week, May 26th to 31st. I think many of you already know I am attending conference in Blackpool, so if you have any queries or renewing subscriptions please let me know by Weds if poss, apologies for any delay in reply after that.

Coffee Morning Dance - Wednesday 4th 10 am.
Evening Social Dance - Friday 6th 8.30 pm.
Sequence Class - Every Tuesday 6.40 pm.
Solo Dance - Every Wednesday 3.30 pm.
Thursday Drop In - Every Thursday 7 - 9 pm.
Friday Variations - Every Friday 8.30 - 10 pm.
Adult Courses L1 & L2 - Every Tuesday 7.40 & 8.40 pm.

Future Diary Dates

Monday 7th July - Medal Awards. There is an award available for ALL our dancers, give yourself a medal!

Summer Break - we will be closed 25th Aug to Sept 5th inclusive.

Our courses resume on Tues 3rd June with an opportunity for those not already signed up to join us for 4 weeks. We will also be offering 4 and 8 week options in July/August. We understand it is holiday season, please remember our longer courses offer up to 25% discount off individual session prices and give you the option to attend other sessions so you don't miss out.

ONLINE STORE

We have an online store which you are most welcome to use to pay for courses, classes, lessons, subscriptions etc. We are still adding items so just let me know if you spot something missing. June 2025 Member Subscriptions:

For those dancers attending regularly and/or more than one class every week you may wish to consider a subscription. The following options are currently available:

4 Hour Subscription any session (valid until 31.05.25) - £32 per person
10 Hour Subscription any session (valid until 31.05.25) - £75 per person
Tuesday Special: 4 Sequence Sessions in June - £30 per person
Wednesday Special: 4 Solo Sessions in June - £28 per person
Thursday Special : 4 Sessions in June x 2 Hour - £40 per person
Friday Special : 4 Sessions in June (inc Social dance) - £32 per person

Subscriptions will expire on 30.06.2025 or as otherwise stated/agreed. Hourly Subscriptions may be divided and used in any combination but are not refundable. Any additional time will be charged on a PAYG basis. Personal Tuition not included.

Annual Membership

Membership is annually renewable on 1st January and gives you regular news updates together with priority access and discounts on personal tuition or any classes or events which we run. Membership is included in Course Fees to new members. Please let us know if your personal details need updating during the year.

Morning Coffee Dance incl. Sequence Social

10 am to 12 noon Lower Beeding Village Hall.

Social Dancing, including Sequence from 11.30 a.m. Seated refreshment area with refreshments. Enjoy a relaxed morning of dancing and meet friends old and new.

No booking required just come along.

Ballroom/Latin only - £7 per person. Sequence only - £3 per person. Both - £9 per person

Next Date: 4th June. Then 1st Wednesday of each month (see flyer attached for all dates)

EVENING SOCIAL DANCE

For the next few months we will be offering an Evening Social Dance on the first Friday of each month in place of our regular class.

The format is similar to our Coffee Morning Dance, a relaxed evening with lots of dancing and light refreshments (cold only in view of facilities available), continuous music and guidance available.

For those dancers who normally attend Friday classes we hope you will still join us and practice, maybe meet some of our other dancers, and we will still be available to provide assistance. For our other dancers we would love you to join us and enjoy more dancing, just one extra evening a month, and again we will be available to provide assistance.

Friday 4th April, 2nd May, 6th June, 4th Jul & 1st Aug

RBL Band Hall, Horsham

Time: 8.30 pm to 10 pm

Entry Fee per person: Members £7. Non Members £8.

No booking required just come along.

PRIZE DRAW - if there are sufficient numbers attending at the end of the evening there will be a prize draw using your membership numbers, the winner will be offered free entry to the following month's evening dance.

Tuesday Sequence Class

Every Tuesday. Closed 27th May

Weekly 6.40 pm to 7.40 pm. Millais Main Hall.

We aim to offer the most popular and regularly featured dances, those dances we currently include are listed on the website, a new dance is added every few weeks wherever possible. All sessions include walk-through's for those unfamiliar with the dances.

Single Sessions: Members £8 per person or 1 Hour Time Credit. Non-Members £9 per person.

No booking required just come along.

Wednesday Solo Dance Class

Every Wednesday. Closed 28th May

Weekly 15:30 to 16:20 pm. Lower Beeding Village Hall. £8 per person PAYG. Member subscriptions available.

A mix of Latin, Ballroom, Freestyle & Classical routines danced without a partner. Great low-impact exercise with a little technique thrown in!

No booking required just come along.

Thursday Drop- In Classes

Every Thursday. Closed 29th May

Weekly 7 pm to 9 pm. RBL Band Hall, Horsham. Come along anytime for 1 hour or longer.

Levels 1 & 2 - Beginners & Improvers. PAYG 1 hour £8, 1.5 hrs £9, 2 hours £12 per person. Member subscriptions available.

No booking required just come along.

Friday Variations Class

Every Friday. 2nd May Social Dance (see above). Closed 30th May

Weekly 8.30 pm to 10 pm. RBL Band Hall, Horsham.

Levels 2 & 3 - Improvers & Beyond. PAYG £9 per person. Member subscriptions available.

The perfect choice If you love dancing, are looking for a few extra moves, or want to improve your technique. Includes up to 20 mins of dancers choice social & practice.

No booking required just come along.

Tuesday Evening Courses

Current courses: 3rd June to 24th June inclusive (4 weeks).

Next courses commence: 1st July

Courses:

Level 1: Basics. suitable for New Beginners, Absolute Beginners, Beginners & Beyond.
Level 2: Improvers, suitable for all dancers with some previous experience.
Mixed Level sessions available.

Venue: Millais School Main Hall.

Time:

Level 1: 20:40 to 21:40 pm.

Mixed Session: 20:10 to 21:10 pm

Level 2: 19:40 pm to 20:40 pm

Total Payable:

4 week Course: Existing Members £32 per person OR New Members £35 per person
Single Sessions: £10 per person or 1 Hour Time Credit

If you are unable to attend any session we will endeavour to offer you an alternative wherever possible. Payment is non-refundable however, if for any unexpected reason the course is cancelled we will provide at least 7 days notice and provide a full or partial refund or suitable alternative. For those signed up to our Tuesday Courses you are most welcome to come along any Thursday OR stay for any Practice Session during the period of the course in lieu of any missed sessions.

Millais Door Access - From 1st Nov 2024 our personal door security code is currently 3518 .

Please do not share the code with anyone outside of our group and do not hold or prop the doors open for unknown people. I'm sorry if this means you have to be rude but they have said we are responsible for any misuse of these codes and resulting breaches to School security!! Access to the hall will be provided via the patio doors whenever possible.

Under 18's Courses

Suitable for young people, aged 7-17 years inclusive. We run short courses every half term for our young dancers, your recommendations are always a great help, please pass on the news to friends and family.

Current courses: 5th June to 10th July inclusive (6 weeks)

Next courses: commencing 11th September

Personal Tuition

We offer personal tuition sessions most days, 30 mins or longer on an ad-hoc or regular basis. Sessions are tailored to you offering one-to-one advice and guidance. Either at Lower Beeding Village Hall on Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays or the RBL Band Hall on Thursdays and Fridays. Message me for more information and availability, the diary can change rapidly sometimes so always ask and we will try to accommodate you wherever possible.

2025 PERSONAL TUITION FEES:

MEMBERS £44 PER HOUR
NON-MEMBERS £48 PER HOUR
STUDENT, PROFESSIONAL & THEORY TUITION - rates on request.

*Lessons maybe shared by up to 2 couples at no additional charge. Group Rates available on request.

Medal Awards Monday 7th July - We are delighted to confirm that an examiner will be visiting us during the evening. There is an award available for ALL our dancers with a wide range of awards available for all dancers of all ages and abilities. Taking awards is a great way to motivate and progress your dancing, and gives recognition for your achievements. For those unavailable on the day or as preference a video recordings may be submitted, let me know so we can make arrangements for you.
