Dear Members

Wishing everyone a very Happy & Healthy New Year.

We hope you have enjoyed the Christmas break and are now looking ahead to some dancing, perfect for light exercise and socialising. If we haven't seen you for some time now it a great opportunity to return.

All our lessons and classes recommence next week and we look forward to seeing you. If you are planning to join our courses from Tuesday please book as soon as possible.

All 2025 memberships have now expired. We are delighted to confirm 2026 membership will remain unchanged for yet another year, £5 per person. If you are signing up for January Courses membership is included. Membership can also be purchased via our online store but we will still need a newly completed membership form when we see you. You will cease to receive newsletters from February 2025 unless renewed.

Here are the highlights for January:

Coffee Morning Dance - Weds 7th Jan. Ballroom/Latin 10-11.30 am. Sequence 11.30-12 noon. Lower Beeding Village Hall.
Tuesday L1 & L2 Courses. Our new courses commence 6th January (details below)
Sequence Dancing. Tuesdays 6.40 pm. weekly from Tues 6th January.
Solo Dance - Wednesdays 3.30 pm. weekly from Weds 7th January. Apologies, please note this class will be closed on Weds 14th Jan.
Thursday Drop In - Thursdays 7 - 9 pm. weekly from Thurs 8th January.
Friday Variations - Fridays 8.30 - 10 pm. weekly from Fri 9th January.

On Weds 14th January I shall be officiating at the BDF Star Ball. This is a most historic and top competitive event, if you are interesting in attending as a spectator, please check their website The Star Ball | BDF Online

For those attending Millais on Tuesdays, please note there is a new door code effective from 1st January (see instructions issued by the school attached, please ignore date which is incorrect).

ONLINE STORE

We have an online store which you are most welcome to use to pay for courses, classes, lessons, subscriptions etc. We are still adding items so just let me know if you spot something missing. January Member Subscriptions:

For those dancers attending regularly and/or more than one class every week you may wish to consider a subscription. The following options are currently available:

4 Hour Subscription any session (valid until 31.01.26) - £32 per person
10 Hour Subscription any session (valid until 31.01.26 ) - £75 per person
Tuesday Special: 4 Sequence Sessions in January - £30 per person
Wednesday Special: 3 Solo Sessions in January - £22 per person
Thursday Special : 4 Sessions in January x 2 Hour - £40 per person
Friday Special : 4 Sessions in January - £40 per person

Subscriptions will expire on 31.01.2025 or as otherwise stated/agreed. Hourly Subscriptions may be divided and used in any combination but are not refundable. Any additional time will be charged on a PAYG basis. Personal Tuition not included.

Annual Membership

Membership is annually renewable on 1st January and gives you regular news updates together with priority access and discounts on personal tuition or any classes or events which we run. Membership is included in Course Fees to new members. Please let us know if your personal details need updating during the year.

Please note all memberships will need to be renewed from 1st January, membership is included in January Course Fees. You will cease to receive newsletters from February 2025 unless renewed.

Morning Coffee Dance incl. Sequence Social

10 am to 12 noon Lower Beeding Village Hall.

Ballroom/Latin Social Dancing (including Sequence from 11.30 a.m). Seated refreshment area with refreshments. Enjoy a relaxed morning of dancing and meet friends old and new.

No booking required just come along from 10 am onwards.

Entry Fee: £8 per person

Next Date: 7th January. Then 1st Wednesday of each month (see flyer attached for all dates)

Social Dance & Award Presentation

Monday 16th February. Lower Beeding Village Hall. Including Medal Presentation.

Time: 7.30 pm to 9 pm

Entry Fee: £8 per person

Ballroom & Latin Social Dancing. Seated refreshment area with light refreshments.

No booking required just come along.

We are delighted to welcome you to join our Special Evening Social Dance. Informal presentations will be made to our fabulous medallists who took awards in December. If you didn't take an award for whatever reason please come along, enjoy the evening, and give a cheer to those who did.

Tuesday Sequence Class

CLASSES RECOMMENCE 6th January.

Weekly 6.40 pm to 7.40 pm. Millais Main Hall.

We aim to offer the most popular and regularly featured dances, those dances we currently include are listed on the website, a new dance is added every few weeks wherever possible. All sessions include walk-through's for those unfamiliar with the dances.

Single Sessions: Members £8 per person or 1 Hour Time Credit. Non-Members £9 per person.

No booking required just come along.

Wednesday Solo Dance Class

CLASSES RECOMMENCE 7th January. (Apologies, closed on Weds 15th Jan).

Weekly 15:30 to 16:20 pm. Lower Beeding Village Hall. £8 per person PAYG. Member subscriptions available.

A mix of Latin, Ballroom, Freestyle & Classical routines danced without a partner. Great low-impact exercise with a little technique thrown in!

No booking required just come along.

Thursday Drop- In Classes

CLASSES RECOMMENCE 8th January.

Weekly 7 pm to 9 pm. RBL Band Hall, Horsham. Come along anytime for 1 hour or longer.

Levels 1 & 2 - Beginners & Improvers. PAYG 1 hour £8, 1.5 hrs £9, 2 hours £12 per person. Member subscriptions available.

No booking required just come along.

MEMBERS DANCE CLINIC. Need a little extra help? Having trouble with a particular dance, figure or step? Come along anytime to our Thursday Evening Drop-In Classes and we would love to help!

Friday Variations Class

CLASSES RECOMMENCE 9th January.

Weekly 8.30 pm to 10 pm. RBL Band Hall, Horsham.

Levels 2 & 3 - Improvers & Beyond. PAYG £9 per person. Member subscriptions available.

The perfect choice If you love dancing, are looking for a few extra moves, or want to improve your technique. Includes up to 20 mins of dancers choice social & practice.

No booking required just come along.

Tuesday Evening Courses

Dates: Every Tuesday. 6th Jan to 10th Feb inclusive (6 weeks) &/or 24th Feb to 31st Mar inclusive (6 weeks).

Courses:

Level 1: Basics. suitable for New Beginners, Absolute Beginners, Beginners & Beyond.
Level 2: Improvers, suitable for all dancers with some previous experience.
Mixed Level sessions available.

Venue: Millais School Main Hall.

Time:

Level 1: 20:40 to 21:40 pm.

Mixed Session: 20:10 to 21:10 pm

Level 2: 19:40 pm to 20:40 pm
Sequence: 18:40 pm to 19:40 pm

If you are unable to attend any session we will endeavour to offer you an alternative wherever possible. Payment is non-refundable however, if for any unexpected reason the course is cancelled we will provide at least 7 days notice and provide a full or partial refund or suitable alternative. For those signed up to our Tuesday Courses you are most welcome to come along any Thursday OR stay for any Practice Session during the period of the course in lieu of any missed sessions.

Under 18's Courses

Suitable for young people, aged 6-17 years inclusive. We run short courses every half term for our young dancers, your recommendations are always a great help, please pass on the news to friends and family.

Personal Tuition

We offer personal tuition sessions most days, 30 mins or longer on an ad-hoc or regular basis. Sessions are tailored to you offering one-to-one advice and guidance. Either at Lower Beeding Village Hall on Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays or the RBL Band Hall on Thursdays and Fridays. Message me for more information and availability, the diary can change rapidly sometimes so always ask and we will try to accommodate you wherever possible.
