Members

We collect contact details, membership details and relevant qualification details in order to provide membership services. This includes, but is not limited to, the administration of joining and renewals, distribution of newsletters, course information, examination information, and other upcoming events.

 

Non-Members including Competitors

We collect contact details of any enquiries made either via our website, by direct email, by telephone or provided on competition entry forms in order to provide the service you have requested. This includes, but is not limited to, the administration of competitions and events, the distribution of newsletters, course information, dance evenings and other upcoming events.

 

Examination Candidates

We collect and hold information of all members and non-members to administer the taking of qualifications and issuing of certificates to successful candidates. We will hold the certificate information indefinitely so that we can confirm it is genuine to any interested party.

 

Members and non-Members under the age of 18

If you are aged under 18 and you provide us with information on an application form (online or printed), your parent(s)/guardian(s) permission will be required.

 

Data Retention

We retain all information in relation to our members and non-members unless you instruct us to delete the same. Once a membership lapses, we retain sufficient information to identify the previous member should the lapsed member wish to re-join.

 

Horsham Dancers Club relies on legitimate interest as the legal basis for retaining this information.

Third Parties

Horsham Dancers Club are under an obligation to share some of your personal information with third parties.

 

When entering candidates for examination we provide personal information to Teacher Organisations such as National Association of Teachers of Dancing (NATD) and UKAdance (UKA). You can view their Privacy Policy on their websites.

 

We publish the results of competitions online which can be viewed by any member of the general public, along with members of other interested organisations. Championship report forms are submitted to the British Dance Council (BDC). By entering into a competition, you agree to this information being accessed by Third Parties.

 

We do NOT sell your data, and do NOT buy data from third parties.

 

How long will Horsham Dancers Club keep my personal information for?

We keep the information we hold about you indefinitely unless you ask us to delete it.

 

Where is the information stored?

We use a variety of procedures and secure technologies to help protect your personal information from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. We store personal information you provide on computer systems which have carefully controlled access and which are located in secure facilities. We also keep paper records which are kept in a secure, controlled environment.
